Bohio Cibanani is a 501 (c) 3 organization devoted to the preservation and recuperation of Caribbean Indigenous and Afro-Diasporic ancestral knowledges, traditions and practices. 

A barbacoa and a fogon – two of the ways in which our peoples work with fires. In 2023, we hosted our first ground oven feast with the support of community elders.

Bohio Cibanani is led by Abuela Behike Ana Nanichi Tlahuicoatl (Ana-Maurine Lara) and Iya Alai Reyes Santos. **We are supported by our: **Advisory Elders Council, including: Abuela Angela Mictlanxotchil Anderson, Abuela Nam-Thu Itzpapalotl Tran, Abuela Perla Xochiltlatoac Alvarez Medina, Abuela Lucely Ameyolotli Vega and our honored elder Abuela Behike Cristina Tuwaliri Paketzalli; **our Board Members, Epijati Aldo Medina and Anukta Zorymar Cotto, Lesley Valencia and Abuela Angela Mictlanxochitl Anderson ;**our many volunteers and supporters who join us in our Convites-Tequios, our Culture Camps and in supporting the Xinachtli Meztli Moon Dance.
