On December 18, 2022 we had the honor of receiving Pedro Salas and Maria Terrero of Kumba Carey alongside Ed Wolf and the wonderful musicians from the University of Oregon here at the Bohio. Together they played Dominican salves, Puerto Rican plenas, and pericos for the waters – for the waters from all seven continents, for Yemaya and all that the waters give us. We were joined by broader community as we danced for the waters of the world together, and enjoyed hot tea (for a cold Winter day!).
