Seed Prayer

In 2020, when the world came to a halt and Mother Earth asked us to reset, open our hearts and focus, we were unable to travel to the Dominican Republic for our annual Moon Dance. In its place, we asked some folks if they would join us in a Seed Prayer. The response was humbling: communities from across the world joined us.

Several communities asked if we would re-convene. So, we did. We asked others to pray for our seeds and for the next seven generations. At Bohio Cibanani, we hosted an areyto and danced for the seeds, the waters and the plants. Others joined with Danza Mexica, with prayers to the cemi, and with offerings to the earth (comida a la tierra). Seneka kakona, gracias, thank you to all those who joined us.
